About the Recipe

Southern Grape Jelly Meatballs with Hill’s BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen or pre-cooked meatballs (homemade or store-bought)

  • 1 full 12 oz bottle of squeeze grape jelly

  • 1 12 oz bottle of Hill’s BBQ Sauce (equal amount to the jelly)

Preparation

Instructions

1. Combine the Sauce

  • In a slow cooker, pour in the entire bottle of grape jelly and the entire bottle of Hill’s BBQ Sauce.

  • Stir together until smooth and fully combined.

2. Add the Meatballs

  • Add the meatballs to the slow cooker and stir until they’re completely coated in sauce.

3. Cook Low and Slow

  • Cover and cook on low for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

  • As the sauce simmers, it will thicken into a glossy glaze that clings to every meatball.

4. Serve and Enjoy

  • Serve hot straight from the slow cooker or transfer to a serving dish.

  • Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired.

  • Perfect as an appetizer or served over rice for a full meal.

Pro Tip

If you want extra kick, stir in a teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes or a splash of apple cider vinegar before cooking — it brings out even more of that signature Hill’s BBQ tang.
