"The BBQ Man"

Hill’s BBQ Sauce and Marinade “The BBQ Sauce with a KICK” all started in 1968 with “The BBQ Man” Bill Hill, and his wife Frances. Bill and Frances ran a small Hill’s BBQ Pit in Wrens, Ga for many years. Bill’s son Baxter, and his wife Hilma, ran a second location in Louisville, Ga for several years as well. The family would pit cook about 300 lbs of Boston Butt Pork Shoulders weekly, pull it, chip it on an old butcher’s block, and saturate the pulled pork with Hill’s BBQ Hot Sauce. Locally, Bill’s BBQ sauce was called Hill’s BBQ Hot Sauce for two reasons: It was served warm from the hot stove top at the pit, and the sauce had a balanced sweet-kick to it! No doubt, with “the Secret being in the Sauce”, the Hill family perfected the BBQ Sandwich, and both Pits usually sold out by noon on Saturdays.

 

Currently Bill’s grandson Tim and his wife Joy are continuing the Legacy of Hill's BBQ Sauce and Marinade – “The BBQ Sauce with a KICK!” We hope you and your family will try a bottle (or two), and we trust that you'll be coming back for more!

 

We recommend using Hill’s BBQ Sauce and Marinade - "The BBQ Sauce with a KICK" on pulled pork, chicken wings, smoked, baked, and rotisserie chicken, pork chops, ribs, and brisket. Our friends and family even use it to make Smoked Chicken Tacos, Grape Jelly Meatballs, and  drizzle it over their favorite dishes: BBQ Nachos, Pulled Pork-Mac & Cheese, and Chicken-Cheesy Quesadillas.
